We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Havana for a couple of days. This is small hotel situated on the San Antonio RIverwalk that's known for its famous OCHO lounge and bar down stairs. I truly enjoy eating at OCHO so I decided to book a room to see if its charm transpires throughout the building.

COMPLAINTS - Our check-in was delayed by an hour and we didn't really know where to go to kill time. My sisters, mom, and I were tired form the road and just wanted to shower in our rooms, but they weren't ready after I repeatedly called to confirm they would be upon our arrival. Although I was disappointed by this, the hotel incentivized us with two free drinks from the downstairs restaurant. The room above ours was making so much noise and we couldn't sleep through the night. We could hear the foot steps all through the night and their laughing was so annoying. Since the hotel had hardwood floors almost all throughout, every step was squeaky and you could hear when people are walking out by your door.

LOUNGING AROUND

You don't always need to be doing something in order to have fun. My family and I are really close, and we love eating breakfast pastries, drinking caffeine, and throwing shade. JK! We just enjoy talking with each other and we really do treasure the little memories we make. Everything is cuban-inspired. From the vintage radio, the blood-red carnations, the colorful bath robes, and the fully stocked fridge, you truly are soaked in a rich latin culture at Hotel Havana.

Mom and I woke up extra early to walk around and explore new places. There was an entrance just across the street to walk by the Riverwalk, so naturally we got our cardio in and enjoyed the scenery. It's very calm and cool in the morning, so next time, we're taking running clothes to get our sweat on.

Down stairs at OCHO, you will experience the best selfie lighting in your entire life. That's such a millennial thing for me to say, but it's true. It's open to the public, not just guests of the hotel. People go dressed really casual, but if you're like me, you can be a little extra because the setup is just beautiful.
