In light of this season's transition, I decided to take it back to my roots [my Shabby roots] & went with a more fresh feel for my bedding. I bought this duvet at JCP [on sale, of course] & I'm in absolute love with it because it's the perfect combination of grey & white! I saw this set last year & have been waiting ever since to buy it. I told myself, just wait Brenda, they'll have to put it on sale, eventually. . . A whole year later &, NADA! I wanted it so badly that Mom just decided to buy it then and there. If you follow me on Instagram of Snapchat, you might recognize it from when I'm posting about my BOOM CHIKA POP or from Netflixing, I just decided to blog about it now because I needed to grow into the idea that I was in love. My bed is my sweetest hello & hardest goodbye. I probably spend just as much time on my bed then I do awake.
Of course, I stole the Euro shams from Mom's armoire, & the king size pillow case, & the couture throw pillow [sorry, not sorry Mom] lol. They're a bit old, or as we say, V I N T A G E, but that's what I love about them. They're so mushy & fluffy, & they go perfectly with this spring theme I'm doing. I was really surprised I was able to marry Shabby Chic with a more Modern Chic feel. I always wanted a PRADA sign in my room, since I saw Gossip Girl, I wanted to have the biggest one hanging over my bed, instead I got this. I'm very satisfied with its outcome. I balanced the CHANEL print with my deer & flower crown.
I couldn't like the duvet, euro shams, or the couture pillow because Rachel doesn't carry it anymore and I couldn't find the others online either! [Sorry about that] But you can shop the similar look with some options I listed below. The Rachel Ashwell pillow was a couture piece, so it was very pricey. Thankfully, she does have a less expensive line at Target that'll get the look for less. Also, I don't remember the exact vendor for my PRADA & CHANEL prints, but pretty much anyone from Etsy does a great job at delivering quality prints. My python trays are from Burlington's & Home Goods, so they're a little difficult to link to the exact designer, but FURBISH STUDIO has the closest thing I've seen!!! I kinda like these more because they're not enclosed like a box, they're flat so you can showcase your vignettes better. Hmm. . . I think I just convinced myself into buying a whole new set for my closet. lol
