Many of y'all know that I love dramatic jewelry. I think it's a great way to modernize any old clothes you're still rewearing. No shame in that! I still have pieces in my wardrobe from 5 years ago. The same denim shorts, white tee & a dramatic pair of earrings really go a long way. I legit picked this outfit out 15b minutes before the Kendra Scott Grand Opening at La Plaza Mall.
Here's the story...
Me thinking that everyone was going to attend the grand opening in a fashion forward attire, I over dressed for the night. It was so hilarious. I wore a short, pink cocktail dress, with rosette type appliques on one shoulder. My hair and heels were the same I'm wearing here, but the dress itself was really cute and a little too dressy. I walked in through the new mall entrance and saw people at the event in jeans...😒😒😒
I mean c'mon people. DRESS UP! The Valley is no Beverly Hills, but that doesn't mean we still can't be glamorous. Buy a LBD and some kitten heels, do a slick pony, and add a little makeup. It's not rocket science and even if you're shopping on a budget it's do-able. I've proven it with my wallet-friendly outfits. It's just really disappointing to see that businesses are trying to create events for us, and then we don't reciprocate by trying to dress up.
I'm in my car waiting for the girls asking what they had on and they're all like...Brenda chill this isn't the Grammy's.😂😂😂😂😂 Suffice to say, I ran into H&M and got this tulle dress off the sale rack for $10 and these earrings for another $15. What a steal, huh? My little star sandals are linked in an earlier post and I'll try to link similar pieces for y'all here. I
for the fabulous invite
