Meeting the New Summer '16 Collection
Hi Trevi Fam, I hope y'all's summer is hotter than ever. ;) I know mine is going great - & little events like this definitely heat things up more! We frequent San Antonio like if it's our second home & just last week we fell in absolute love with everything at Anthropologie! Why? Becasue it's different & highly unlikely anyone else will be walking around in the same crocheted dress as you on vacay or at the movies. Shopping there makes me feel some kind of special. Of course, uniqueness comes with a price. In exchange for a 1 in a million look we have to loosen up the wallet (or plastic) a little bit - but that's okay because we deserve to be happy right?
Essentially, this nostalgic feeling of uniqueness quickly fades as we return to the valley because our malls & outlets don't offer much of variety in fashion. We all shop at the same kate spade outlet, same Michael Kors boutique, the same Joe Brand, everyone, & I do mean everyone, does end up at the Forever 21. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, I'm just expressing that it becomes more of a challenge to distinguish your style from the bunch. Thankfully, I've found a showroom I'm sure I can rely on to provide just a hint of exclusivity.
(I decided not to edit these pictures so that y'all can see the true nature of its color.)
This first dress I tried on was absoulutely adorabble because it was fitted to the body & made my booty look a whole lot better. The fabric was light, yet firm, the detailed embroidery was to die for, & what I most liked about this dress was that instead of two tassels, it had four tassels hanging out on the front! I mean how cute is that? This is something I'm 100% certain you won't find anywhere else in the Valley.
WHAT I'D PAIR IT WITH
I think this was my favorite dress I tried on! I love how it resembled Self Portrait's designs. It's definitely very chic, light, flirty, & sexy! I plan of pairing it with some tassel heels for when I feel a little fancy or some leather sandals to go out shopping. This one's definitely getting packed for our family trip. I don't care if we're going to the desert, I'll wear it there because it's so darn cute. I've always been insecure about my love handles, and my scar on my arm, when it comes to spaghetti straps & strapless tops, I freak out a bit...but now I'm like Y O L O! This summer I decided that all us girls are too glam to give a damn so I'll expose my arms without any repercussions.
WHAT I'D PAIR IT WITH
This was the funnest piece I've tried on all summer. Like, it literally has puffy sleeves, tassels, & these funky looking stars all over the sleeves. If they had this in any other colors, I probably would've taken them all! It's so quirky & different & I can't wait to wear it ASAP. Please FRANCISCA, gimme more embroidery, I beg of you! lol
